Phoenix Police Officer Harold Boswell, who was injured in an ambush-style shooting on March 29, continues to recover at home and three suspects in the case have been arrested.

On March 30, 2024, the first of three suspects were arrested.

A search warrant was executed on teen suspect’s residence. Investigators located evidence connecting this teen to the incident. The teen was booked into Juvenile Court Center (JCC) on multiple charges including attempted murder and armed robbery.

The investigation continued as detectives identified a second suspect, 19-year-old Jamiah Thomas Mower, who they learned was currently in Las Vegas, Nevada. Investigators worked with Las Vegas Metro Police Department resulting in Mower’s arrest on March 31, 2024. Mower is currently awaiting extradition to Maricopa County where he will be formally charged for multiple felonies stemming from the investigation.

One day later, on April 1, 2024, the third and final suspect, a teen, was located in El Mirage and arrested. He was also booked into JCC on hindering prosecution and other charges.

The shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. on March 29 when Officer Boswell responded to a report of people trying to rob a parked car near 35th and Southern Avenues.
