Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a central Phoenix single vehicle collision that resulted in one man’s death.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on April 8, 2024, around 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of 7th Street and Meadowbrook Avenue regarding a single vehicle collision resulting in an injury. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle involved and the adult male driver, identified as 31-year-old Maxwell Murray. Murray was extricated from the vehicle after being trapped. He did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives believe the vehicle driven by Murray was northbound on 7th Street at a high rate of speed when Murray lost control and struck a curb causing the vehicle to rollover.
