Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a mid-morning shooting that left a man dead.
On April 15, 2024, around 9:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Kemp, with at least one gunshot wound. Phoenix Fire arrived and attempted life saving measures, but Kemp did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives believe that Kemp was in an argument with another person which resulted in Kemp being shot.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
