Democratic Party operative, Tony Cani, filed what many are calling a “bogus campaign finance complaint” against Rep. Justine Heap, who is challenging Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, in the Republican Primary.

“Remember the complaint I filed w/ the SOS after discovering Justin Heap submitted a late & false campaign finance report? Well, after an investigation, they agreed. I just got this in my inbox,” tweeted Cani referring to a letter from Democrat-controlled Secretary of State’s Office.

Heap responded to the complaint on X.com back in early March:

“Because the lobbyists sent checks, I did not accept them. I’m not required to disclose when the lobbyist mailed me a check I did not cash or deposit into my campaign. I have voided the checks in my file and have notified the lobbyists to update their records. Fake news by “journalist” who never asked or investigated.”

And fake news Richer is ready to push out….
