Phoenix Police Department homicide detectives responded to a west Phoenix neighborhood to investigate a young man’s death on Friday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, just after 1:00 on Friday afternoon, officers responded to an emergency call where a man was found unresponsive in the street. Officers came to the area of 104th Avenue and Payson Road and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man, 20-year-old Mohamed Toure, was treated by Phoenix Fire personnel who pronounced him deceased on scene.
Detectives are asking the community to help by providing any information by calling into Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
