Phoenix Police Detectives Make Arrest In April Shooting Death

Phoenix Police detectives have made an arrest in an April shooting that left Jacob Schottenbauer dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 19, 2024, around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of 35th Avenue
and Van Buren Street regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the 39-year-old Jacob Schottenbauer, with at least one gunshot wound. Schottenbauer was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, now identified as Herson Robledo, ran from the scene after the shooting. The 18-year-old Robledo was located on May 20, 2024 and arrested.

On April 1, 2024 Schottenbauer dies from his injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
