The Phoenix Police Department has identified the suspect, Esperanza Bautista Valencia, in the murder of Jose Virgil Deleon.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 12:10 p.m., police were called to a home near 5200 W Windsor Avenue for a report of a person who had been stabbed. The 52-year-old Bautista Valencia called 911 stating she had stabbed her boyfriend 52-year-old Deleon.
When officers arrived, they found Deleon in the driveway with multiple stab wounds, deceased.
Bautista Valencia was taken into custody by responding officers without incident.
