Traffic was at a stand still as a portion of westbound Interstate 10 was shut down for hours near downtown Phoenix as police investigated a shooting death.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 10, 2024, around 3:35 a.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a collision on the Interstate 10 Freeway near 7th Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Phoenix Police Department has assumed the investigation.
The Office of the Medical Examiner (OME) took custody of the victim’s remains. Detectives will wait for results from the OME’s examination in relation to the cause and manner of death.
I have said for the last 15 years that Phoenix is the new Los Angeles only 40 degrees hotter. Now it’s just as, if not more, dangerous and polluted!
Phoenix is heaven compared to LA.
