
Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a hit and run collision that resulted in the death of a bicyclist.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 10, 2024, around 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of 16th Street and Buckeye Road regarding a collision that involved a bicyclist. When officers arrived, they located the adult male bicyclist with serious injuries. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The vehicle involved in the collision took off from the area prior to police arrival.
Detectives believe that the vehicle involved was northbound on 16th Street when it collided with the bicyclist and continued northbound. The vehicle is described as a light colored truck.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
