Phoenix Domestic Violence Incident Turns Deadly

A man is in jail and facing murder charges after stabbing his wife to death in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to a stabbing in the parking lot of a business near Cave Creek Road and Thunderbird Road. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The fire department responded and transported the woman, later identified as 37-year-old Aliccia Grant, to the hospital. Officers received information indicating the suspect was Grant’s husband, 35-year-old Stephen Dennis. Grant later died from her injuries at the hospital.

During the investigation, a 911 call was received from Dennis, where he admitted to stabbing Grant and gave 911 operators his location. Dennis was taken into custody by officers in the area. A search of the area where the stabbing occurred was completed, and officers were able to find a knife believed to be used by Dennis.

Dennis was interviewed by detectives and booked into the Maricopa County Jail for second degree murder.
