On Wednesday night, January 8th, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Coconino County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence near Ash Fork in response to a domestic violence incident.

Deputies learned that a man in the residence had threatened his girlfriend that he would shoot her in the head, and had also told others about this threat to kill his girlfriend.

The deputies requested assistance from Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office’s (YCSO) Quick Response Team, which was called out to help resolve the situation safely.

A trained YCSO negotiator made contact with the man and was able to de-escalate the situation and get everyone out of the residence safely.

The man was arrested without incident and booked into jail on charges of threatening and intimidating.
