Fraternity Housing Board President Sentenced For Fraud And Theft

The president of the Delta Chi Alumni Board, Michael Woolbright has been sentenced to 5 years in prison after being convicted of fraud and theft in Pima County Superior Court.

Woolbright’s prison sentence is to be followed by 30 years on probation and is ordered to pay $520,000 in restitution.

Woolbright was sentenced for his guilty conviction on five counts of Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices and one count of Theft for stealing over $500,000 from the Tucson Delta Chi Alumni Board, an entity which holds title to a fraternity chapter house located on the University of Arizona campus. Woolbright controlled the Board’s bank account, edged out the Board’s accountant, did not update other board members, and wrote unauthorized checks to himself and his businesses totaling over $500,000.
