Man Killed In Phoenix Collision

Phoenix Police are investigating a serious traffic collision Saturday night that took the life of a man.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, just after 7:00 p.m., officers were called to a collision involving two trucks near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road. As officers arrived at the scene, they found an adult male suffering from critical injuries. The 60-year-old man was extracted from his truck then taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives responded to the collision and learned the victim had just begun to drive south on 35th Avenue after stopping at a red light. Once the victim entered the intersection of Camelback Road, he was hit by a truck driving west. The 28-year-old driver stayed on scene and spoke with detectives showing no signs of impairment.
