Late Evening Collision Leaves Phoenix Pedestrian Dead

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a southside collision that left one man dead.

On July 24, 2025, around 8:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of 3300 South 7th Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located the adult male pedestrian with serious injuries. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene.

Detectives believe that the man was in a motorized wheelchair and in the roadway when he was struck by the vehicle involved which was traveling northbound on 7th Avenue. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
