Within moments of the news that Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and father of two, had been shot and killed during campus event at Utah Valley University, Arizona’s leaders across the political aisle condemned the political assassination.

President Donald Trump was the first to confirm the young father’s death in a post on Truth Social.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us,” Trump wrote. “Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Governor Katie Hobbs posted on X.com:

I am horrified by the violent attack on Charlie Kirk. In a democracy, we solve our disagreements at the ballot box. Political violence is never acceptable.

Congressman Abe Hamadeh, an emerging leader in the Republican Party, praised his fellow “happy warrior” on X.com:

Charlie Kirk was a force to be reckoned with. He was a Happy Warrior for the conservative cause.

He was martyred doing what he did best, talking to young people and sharing ideas. That is what is supposed to happen on our college campuses: sharing diverse opinions and entertaining others’ points of view in the pursuit of a brighter future for all.

We will not let a lone gunman snuff out the bright fire Charlie lit in the hearts of young patriots who share the America First agenda and are part of the Make America Great Again Movement, nor will we stop our efforts to bridge the political divide through conversation.

We will carry on what he started and build on his lasting legacy of inspiring the next generation of American leaders.

I urge everyone to join me in praying for the soul of this faithful patriot, his beautiful family, and our country.

Democrat Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari posted on X.com:

Political violence is never acceptable—this is horrific.

Republican Congressman Andy Biggs, who is currently endorsed by Kirk’s Turning Point for governor of Arizona posted on X.com:

Erika and Charlie’s young children are in my family’s prayers as I know the Lord will cover them in love. Cindy and I ask everyone to continue praying and sending strength to the Kirk family.

We have tragically lost a tremendous leader and a friend. But his most important role was as a loving husband, father, and devout Christian who shared his faith unapologetically.

Charlie Kirk was an inspiration to an entire generation and will be remembered as someone who changed the course of our country.

Democrat Congressman Greg Stanton posted on X.com:

The attack on Charlie Kirk is horrifying. I’m praying hard for him, and keeping his family in my thoughts.

Political violence has absolutely no place in our country.

Republican Congressman Eli Crane called for prayers:

Please pray for Charlie Kirk

Democrat Senator Mark Kelly, whose wife Gabby Giffords was a victim of political violence, condemned the political assassination:

Charlie Kirk lost his life today because someone thought violence was the answer to political disagreement.

It’s never the answer, and political violence has no place in our country. I’m praying for his wife and children.

Republican Congressman Juan Ciscomani posted on X.com:

I am deeply saddened by the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk today. He was a devoted husband to Erika and a loving father of two beautiful children. He was a man of faith, who loved our country, and he dedicated his life to promoting free speech through open dialogue. Political violence has no place in our nation and must end.

Laura and I are praying for the Kirk Family and the millions of Americans across our country who are mourning his death.

Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego, who runs a notoriously vitriolic X.com account regularly attacking Republicans, posted on X.com:

This is beyond terrible. Charlie Kirk was a husband, father, and son.

Violence is never the answer. Sydney and I are keeping the Kirk family in our prayers.

  1. “Violence is never the answer,” said all the good little leftists while trying to unwrap the fabric of this country.

  2. You are right, Bill. It’s hard not to be heartbroken over the recent events and the evil continuing to take hold in our land but Christ will set it right when he returns. [“Even so, come, Christ Jesus.”]

  3. While thinking people agree this was a horrible act, the real question(s) remain.
    Who did it?
    1. US gov (deep state, if you like)
    2. Israel
    3. leftist/marxist college loon
The bigger question > who benefits?

  4. The result of the leftist Aholes and their
Pushing of their anti american agenda. They
say these words after the fact. In reality they
are rejoicing now that they will not have to
worry that people may try to put the country
First and not the socialist dream they wants.

  5. Somehow I don’t believe the likes of Democrats Kelly, Gallego, Stanton et al. Their responses all sound alike. Do you use the same script writer?

  6. Meanwhile the majority of the Tucson Clown Council and Board of Stupids are cheering silently, the majority of the population in Tucson/Pima County (Communists) celebrating. The hearts of democrats are owned by Satan. Shooting and killing now totally acceptable to them.

    • EXACTLY…and their newsrag’s front page this a.m. said he was a Trump political operative. Most Arizonans simply cannot fathom what a despicable conspiracy now controls their 2nd largest Metro & County.

  7. There will be no civil war. The Right have families and jobs and houses and morals. Thank God we do. We win as long as we remember this

  8. I listened to much of the days news from the beginning and it is truly tragic.

While it’s probably inappropriate to ask at this time, but after listening to the news, does the timing of the rifle shot in relation to the question and answer being asked at the time suggest the person asking the question and the shooter are complicit with each other in some way?

BTW, not trying to start a conspiracy theory and I don’t know why this stuck with me but nobody I heard today brought that up.

  9. the beginning of the uncivil war – maybe the day before when the young Ukrainian girl was stabbed on the train.. or the mass murders in DC – or the riots of Minn. but the nation has changed – This Event – a marker in time. This nation – this ethic of violence – won’t be going away.. Christians and Jews are next – Evil has come spreading its black cloud over the nation. We have arrived at the beginning of the end of end times. Satan doing all he can to overrun the earth before the return of Christ – Exactly as it has been described in Prophecy – The nations of world that have gathered are ‘exactly those noted’ Russia and company – the 10 Member EU – Israel – the USA ; now the falling fast USA.. from EVIL immorality – as it was in the times of NOAH. So buckle up.. it won’t be long – but it will be very difficult time. kEEP THE FAITH! GOD BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL.
