A Phoenix Police Department officer has been charged after he was involved in an on-duty traffic collision in which investigators estimate his speed at more than 50 miles per hour over the posted limit.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, following a thorough review and complete investigation, the Department submitted the report to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for criminal charges related to this incident.
A Grand Jury subsequently charged the officer with aggravated assault and endangerment.
“This is a serious matter,” Phoenix Sgt. Lorraine Fernandez said in a media advisory. “Our officers are expected to uphold the same laws they enforce, and when standards are not met, we have an obligation to act.”

So lets do the math.
Is the Phoenix Police Department going to indict EVERY Civilian that causes an ACCIDENT while Speeding?
Its called an ACCIDENT for a reason.
Btw, you try fighting crime in Phoenix at night, and try to live to tell about it.
