The Phoenix Police Department has identified two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Manuel Fonseca.
On January 2, 2026, two suspects were identified and ultimately located. Each was booked on charges stemming from the investigation. The first suspect, identified as 20-year-old Daniel Zamora, was booked on charges of murder and aggravated assault. The second suspect, 29-year-old Ricky Zamora, was booked for hindering prosecution.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 2, 2026, at around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Bell Road regarding a shooting call. When officers arrived, they found two adult males with at least one gunshot wound each. Both men were transported to nearby hospitals. Fonseca did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Phoenix Police detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip.
