Sun Devil Athletics Director Graham Rossini has announced that men’s basketball head coach Bobby Hurley will not have his contract extended.

Bobby Hurley has made incredible contributions to the sport of basketball, and that certainly includes many memorable moments during his time as our head coach. While we will not be extending his contract, we are so grateful for the 11 years that Coach, Leslie, Cameron, Sydney and Bobby Jr. spent with us at ASU. We wish Coach well moving forward and we are thankful for his leadership while at ASU,” said Rossini.

Coach Hurley was 185-167 (.526) overall in his 11 seasons, leaving Tempe as the second-winningest coach in program history behind only Ned Wulk.

Bobby Hurley won 185 games in 11 seasons at ASU, the second-most in program history.

  1. Yell, scream, act a fool, scream at players.
Refs hated him. But bottom line, the big rival in-state team happens to be Arizona. There are just so many hail mary 70 footers. Like ONE. ASU needs a decent human being for once.

  2. Well, if he made sure his players stay focused on their studies, he HAD to go. Actually studying in college is evidently just for fools.
