At its regular meeting on April 15, 2026, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of Richard P. Twiss, Seligman Justice Precinct Constable, effective April 24, 2026.
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is soliciting Letters of Interest and Resumes for appointment to the position of Seligman Justice Precinct Constable. The individual selected for appointment will serve through December 31, 2026. Those qualified to serve as Constable must, at the time of appointment, be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the state, an elector of the county or precinct in which the duties of the office are exercised, and be able to read and write the English language.
In addition, according to A.R.S. §16-230, the Board of Supervisors shall appoint a person of the same political party as the person vacating the office to serve for the remainder of the term through December 31, 2026. The presiding Constable was elected as a member of the Republican Party.

Letters of Interest and Resumes must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by 5:00 p.m., on Friday, May 1, 2026.
The Board of Supervisors will consider the Letters of Interest and Resumes and may appoint a replacement for the Seligman Justice Precinct Constable at their regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
