After sustained attacks lasting almost a week, supporters of “Arizona First Mom” Ciara Anderson, a conservative Republican candidate for State House in Arizona’s 10th legislative district, took turns complimenting her for taking the high road.
“The attacks on the socials about LD10 candidate @Ciara2A has brought out the ugly side of politics by self-professed “Christian” Republicans. Ciara maintained a level head and did not react to the hate. Thanks for staying classy and not lowering yourself to that level! ,” said X user B Coffman, which prompted a fresh and unsolicited response from Turning Point Action COO Tyler Bowyer, who claimed “Ciara hijacked turning point assets while doing very little. She did next to nothing in mesa during the recall of Julie Spilsbury. She’s not legit.”
Bowyer is a senior figure in the Turning Point group, alongside Jake Hoffman and others, who have been attempting to manufacture a phony controversy over Anderson’s military service.
Anderson clapped back, asking Bowyer, “Is that why you gave me the Best Coalition Chair award, December 20th, 2025?”
Anderson also posted pictures of the award.

“Typical Bowyer stuff,” observed one Arizona Republican, “and as usual, it comes at the expense of Turning Point’s reputation. Ciara was a Turning Point volunteer, one of their best who actually got an award from them. But she won’t obey Jake Hoffman, so they turn the organization against their own people because it isn’t about serving America, it is about serving Bowyer and Hoffman.”
Anderson is locked into what is believed to be a tight race for two State House seats with Justin Olson, Turning Point USA’s CFO, and James Rogers.
The quiet race got loud when Hoffman falsely accused Anderson of being dishonorably discharged from the US Air Force, and one Arizona blog ran a story attacking Anderson while trying to push a narrative that Anderson was guilty of stolen valor.
Those attacks were shot down recently by State Rep. Walt Blackman, who authored Arizona’s Stolen Valor law. Blackman reviewed the matter and released a statement that confirmed that Anderson’s military record was accurate.

First, attacking Nguyen for immutable characteristics, now questioning a vet’s (easily verified) bona fides? Erika needs to cut these knuckleheads loose before they torpedo everything Charlie worked so hard to build.
