Gov. Katie Hobbs has once again decided not to debate her Republican opponent. On Thursday, Hobbs declined to debate the Republican Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Congressman Andy Biggs.
Hobbs hasn’t debated an opponent since 2018.
For his part, the Biggs campaign says he will be at the Clean Elections debate scheduled for October 6.

They truly think she’ll pull a Biden if she gets on the debate stage and they’re not even hiding it.

“Deep down, it has to bother @katiehobbs to know how little faith her team and her Democrat Party allies have in her to string a few sentences together for an hour,” stated Biggs’ campaign consultant on social media. “They truly think she’ll pull a Biden if she gets on the debate stage and they’re not even hiding it. Crazy.”
“I understand why Governor Katie Hobbs has declined to debate Congressman Biggs. She would get destroyed out of the gate. The Biden bunker strategy she has employed is the only way she can get elected,” stated Arizona Republican Party Chair Sergio Arellano. “She can’t risk being questioned about the scandals that have plagued her administration, and she certainly can’t risk discussing her party’s reckless platform.”
“Congressman Biggs is the consummate statesman,” stated Arellano. “Hobbs is struggling to convince anyone to even serve as her Lieutenant Governor. Does anyone really believe that she thinks she stands a chance of outshining Congressman Biggs?”
It has long been rumored that Hobbs is trying to convince former Mesa Mayor John Giles to serve as her Lieutenant Governor to make her appear more mature and credible. Giles, a registered Republican who has supported President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the past, would be an unpopular choice with Hobbs’ Democratic Socialist base. However, he would bolster Hobbs with the chambers of commerce.
Let’s not forget Hobbs has already been publicly rejected by her first choice, with some political observers describing her effort as “absurd”.

“I’m not a big fan of debates either but I have participated in one, each election cycle I’ve run in. It’s what we owe our voters who want to hear directly from us. That Gov Hobbs won’t participate in at least one is cowardice,” stated Arizona State Senator TJ Shope on social media. “The voters deserve to hear from us.”
Hobbs doesn’t want to answer and explain how her Husband profited on mutilating Childrens’ genitalia at Phoenix Childrens Hospital, (i.e. transitioning LGBTQ mentally ill children).
Debating means having to answering questions and not being able to control the narrative. Touring means avoiding questions and being able to control the narrative.
Strong candidates debate; weak candidates tour. Seems pretty clear to me.
I keep reading about how much $$ the RNC has compared to the leftist Dems but I haven’t seen ONE ad for Biggs on any network or streaming channel. Better not screw THIS one up.

The election was a disaster on Election Day in Maricopa County you had voting machines and printers suddenly stopped working at over 30% of voting centers instantly when the polls opened. Republican voters were forced to wait in extremely long lines, turned away from the polls, or told to deposit their ballots in the questionable “box 3” for misread ballots. Maricopa County holds roughly 60% of Arizona’s voters, leaving other counties disenfranchised by a single county. No investigations, no arrests the AZ GOP wanted Hobbs to win.
The abject intolerance and lack of intellectual diversity constantly displayed by our governor fully exposes a diminishing capacity to serve the people of Arizona. But leftist-leaning lemmings always seem to prevail.

Hobbs is a coward coupled with ineptness. She knows she can’t compete with Biggs and is afraid her plans for the state will sink her. She’s right about that.

I’ve never understood how people can vote for someone that is supposed to lead when they refuse to debate. It shows a level of cowardice that bodes poorly for a leader.

Hobbs is making the same calculation as Biden, that the less her low-info voters see of her the better, while manufactured votes need no persuading.
