When times are always good, everything goes to crap; it’s a Cosmic Law of the Universe.
That’s what America’s had since 1987, when then-Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan first created his famous omnibus rescue device (i.e. print money), which markets soon labeled the “Greenspan Put.” Greenspan, the former Ayn Rand apostate, bailed out anything and everything Wall Street told him to.
It worked until 2008, when a really, really big event nearly overwhelmed the entire global system. My NatSec spook buds blame the ’08 ignition-fuse to Lehman Brothers’ [inevitable real estate] implosion—on Vladimir Putin, and his quickie invasion of Georgia. Suddenly global money managers were running for the exit doors, but that’s a story for another time.
Funny thing about all those other remaining small financial brush fires since 1987, ones the omnipotent US Central Bank thinks it must extinguish everywhere; a constant bail-out mentality also has very bad social consequences for the debt-bloated US republic.
Capitalism, prosperity, risk-taking, innovation and wealth creation is a plant that needs constant pruning to stay healthy and productive. That’s what the great Austro-American economist of technological disruption, Joseph Schumpeter, alluded to when he called the process “gales of creative destruction”.
Schumpeter was also deeply concerned that capitalism’s successes (& excesses) would lead to the very pre-conditions we have now, with the emerging Dimshevik (nee: Democrat) Party going full-frontal with its thinly-veiled, socialist-communist manifesto of “Marxist-Leninism-Light”. Fossils in their own party are in abject denial.
Whether it is Tucson’s [highly paid!] gynocracy of unaccomplished mushheads, led by their City & County governments, or an entire litany of genuinely, batsh*t-crazy national Dims, culminating in the strangest major urban election…that of NYC’s new Mayor, the smiling, Ugandan-Muslim-trustbaby, Zohran Mamdani. NYC probably deserves this guy.
All are young & youthful, ridiculously unpedigreed, all hate capitalism, Judeo-Christian mores (soooooo misogynistic & homophobic), Western Civilization, etc. And just as Schumpeter warned us. All terribly reared by some dreadful parenting. Classic Piscean bilge, straight from its nutty playbook. Thankfully, it is on the way out.
But now their latest, end-game caper is to take over local government. Yep, as they might say in the trannycentric, Dim Psycho-Sexual Establishment, “the kids are in transition.” (and repeated with all deluded “toxic politeness”)
It’s probably wiser to recall a much older quote, one born from direct bloody experience, which is frequently attributed to the famous pre-Soviet refugee, Ayn Rand, “you can vote your way into Socialism, but you have to shoot your way out.”
