A Texas man, Juan Jose Castillo, has pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of Coercion and Enticement, according to the Department of Justice.
According to the plea agreement, Castillo, age 28, admitted that between February 2024 and October 2024, he communicated with a minor victim in Arizona and enticed the victim to engage in sexual activity with him. Castillo further admitted that between October 18–21, 2024, he traveled to Arizona with the intent to engage in that conduct. During the trip, Castillo engaged in sexual activity with the victim.
A conviction for Coercion and Enticement carries maximum penalties of life in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and lifetime supervised release.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 6, 2026, before Chief United States District Court Judge Jennifer G. Zipps.
