Democrat Nominee Caputi Busted For Fake Residency
Arizona law requires legislative candidates to live in the district they represent, and that law is the one that Democrat Tammy Caputi is breaking, according to a news story in the Arizona Republic.
Caputi and her family have lived in a large comfortable home in Legislative District 3, one of the states most upscale districts and also one of the most Republican districts in the state, making it a district where Caputi would have no chance of being elected to the legislature. According to the news report, Caputi moved into Legislative District 4, a competitive district where Democrats were looking for a nominee, and she filed to run for office one day after registering to vote there. The problem for Caputi is that the law requires that she actually move into the district, and there is no evidence that she did so, and there may now be a mountain of evidence that Caputi’s residency is a fraud that doesn’t just violate the trust of voters, but breaks Arizona law and could get her kicked out of office if she managed to overcome the scandal and win…
