Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting of a man in the area of 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road who is left in serious condition.
Officers were called to the scene around 3:00 Thursday morning for a report of a shooting.
When they got there, they found a man in his early 20’s inside a car with a gunshot wound. They also found two other men who were in hiding nearby. Both men stated they were with the victim when their car was shot at.
The victim was rushed to the hospital by the fire department. He is currently in extremely critical condition.
Detectives learned multiple gunshots were fired at the victims’ car by unknown suspect/s. The suspects took off in a car before police arrived and remain on the loose. The investigation is ongoing as detective work to identify and locate the suspect/s.
