The saying “Be careful what you wish for” has certainly applied to Democrats who worked hard to make sure Donald Trump won the Republican nomination for president in 2016. They did that because the polls indicated Trump would be the easiest candidate for Hillary Clinton to beat in the general election.
Maybe you remember how the mainstream press announced Trump’s triumph over the other sixteen Republican candidates after each debate. As a former teacher who had judged debates, I was baffled because from my perspective he had not won a single one. It made little sense to consider Trump the winner for having come up with insulting nicknames and ad hominem attacks against his rivals. For that reason, I did not support Trump until the general election.
After Trump’s primary win, Hillary Clinton and the Democrat leadership tried to discredit his campaign by seeking and paying for a story that he had colluded with the Russians. Their efforts haunted him up to his inauguration and throughout his four years as president. Commentators such as Rachel Maddow and high-level officials from the Obama administration attacked Trump over it daily in the mainstream media – until it was proven a fabrication.
As a man who could not be intimidated, Trump created policy after policy that benefited Americans both directly and indirectly, abroad and at home: lower corporate taxes, fewer federal regulations, Opportunity Zones for the poor in minority neighborhoods, “Right to Try” for terminal patients, a “Stay in Mexico” mandate for immigrants at the border, curtailing of fentanyl entering the country, the Abraham Accord to bring peace to the Middle East, strengthening of the military, increasing oil/gas reserves as protection in case of an emergency, energy independence, and more. No president had accomplished so much in one 4-year term.
Regardless of whether his election was rigged or not, Joe Biden became the president in 2020. He has not only reversed Trump on his effective policies but has attacked Trump’s supporters verbally, calling them “semi-fascists.”
Mark Kelly, Arizona Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate and famous astronaut, deserves praise for his devotion to his wife Gabby Gifford after she was shot at a Tucson rally and almost died. However, he has voted for Biden’s policies 94% of the time! Kelly as well as other Democrats have scared women into believing that the Republicans plan to make abortion illegal – which is not true. Time-after-time, the Republican candidates have urged reasonable restraints on abortion that reflect the will of most Americans. This is now a matter that must be decided by the states. Thus, the banning of abortion throughout the U.S. is not going to happen. Sadly, it is the Democrats’ only issue.
The Democrats are solely responsible for runaway inflation, out-of-control crime, food shortages, millions of unvetted migrants pouring over our border, a weakened military, the war in Ukraine due to Biden’s muddled handling of our departure from Afghanistan, and so on.
Let’s save America by voting Republican and only Republican in November!
