On Friday, the Phoenix Police Department identified the woman and her teenage son who died following an apparent murder-suicide at a north Phoenix apartment on Wednesday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, Christina Marie Watson, age 37, allegedly shot and killed her son, Gunther Saline, age 17, before killing herself.
Phoenix police officers responded to the family’s apartment in the area of 23rd Avenue and Rose Garden Lane in response to a check welfare call. When they arrived, they found Gunther with a gunshot wound.
Christina was also found with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital.
