
On Wednesday, just before 11:30 a.m., Buckeye police received a report from Verrado High School that a student had possibly seen another student on campus handling a gun. Buckeye Police School Resource Officers immediately located the student in question and determined they did not have a gun.
Then on Thursday, around 12:45 p.m., Buckeye police received a report from Verrado High School officials saying they had obtained new information about the previous report.
It turns out it was a different student and a gun was found inside the student’s vehicle.
The student was detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
