Phoenix police are searching for a man who left the scene of a fatal collision early this morning near 35th Avenue and Acoma Drive.
Early Tuesday morning just after 5:30, officers responded to a call of a collision involving a pickup truck and car. The driver of the truck left the scene on foot before police arrived. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. He was identified as 59-year-old Ronnie Crnkovic who died at the hospital.
Detectives responded to take over the investigation. Early information indicates the truck was going south on 35th Avenue and crashed into the rear of the car that was stopped at 35th Avenue. The driver of the truck left the area on foot. He remains outstanding. This remains an ongoing investigation.
