Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist, Ulisses Torres, who was riding south on 19th Avenue passing Indian School Road on Thursday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of 19th Avenue and Indian School Road on September 28, 2023, at about 10:00 p.m., to investigate a serious collision. When they got to the scene, officers found the 33-year-old Torres suffering from serious life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Detectives learned from witness that the motorcyclist was riding south on 19th Avenue
and while passing through the intersection on a green light, was struck by a car making a left turn to go west on Indian School Road.
The driver of the car, an adult female stayed on scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
