The death of a man, Lealdo Tolano, on I-10 has been ruled a homicide.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the 39-year-old Tolano was driving a 2009 Ford Escape at the time he was shot on the Interstate 10 Freeway on June 10, 2024, around 3:35 a.m.
At that time, Arizona Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a collision on the Interstate 10 Freeway near 7th Avenue. When they arrived, they found Tolano apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation continues. Anyone who may have been traveling in the area and who has a vehicle with an on-car surveillance camera or may have seen anything, is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
