Injuries Found On Body On Railroad Tracks Not “Consistent” With Collision

Phoenix Police Department detectives are working to identify the remains of a man found by railroad staff as the scene is not consistent with a railroad collision.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to an accident with injuries call involving a train near 20th Street and Jackson Street. When officers arrived, they found a dead man lying on the railroad tracks.

After a preliminary investigation, it does not appear the victim was involved in a collision with a train. The victim’s remains were collected by the Office of the Medical Examiner. The investigation awaits the findings from the Medical Examiner’s report.
