Arizona’s Congressional District 6 race is still too close to call, but late Wednesday, Republican incumbent Juan Ciscomani took the lead over Democratic challenger Kirsten Engel.
As of 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, Ciscomani held a 49.1% to 48.6% lead, amounting to 1600 more votes.

For their part, Ciscomani’s team has remained confident even as Engel jumped out to a huge lead in the first election night resuts. By early morning on Wednesday Ciscomani had closed the gap significantly.
Most politicos expect the trends to continue and GOP candidates to get the majority of the ballots outstanding, which should provide Ciscomani with the cushion to return to Congress for a second term.
