Guillermo Amador III, now age 19, will serve 31 years in prison for the murder of Emilie Gomez and the assault of Dallas Massaro.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, on December 5, 2022, Amador orchestrated a violent drug robbery using a fake Instagram account to lure Dallas Massaro to a remote location under the guise of a marijuana and THC vape sale. Dallas brought his girlfriend, Emilie Gomez, assuming it would be a straightforward transaction. After a brief conversation, Amador unexpectedly pulled a gun, fatally shooting Emilie in the face and critically shooting Dallas leaving him with severe, lifelong injuries. Amador then stole a bag of marijuana and THC vapes from the victim before fleeing the scene.
Amador pleaded guilty to the following charges:
“This case is a clear example of the rise we have seen throughout our county where youth are participating in extreme acts of violence,” said County Attorney Mitchell. “At the time of this murder, the defendant was 17 years-old, and for this horrific crime, he will spend decades in prison.”
