On Tuesday, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced that a grand jury indicted two parents, Brittney Furch, age 34, and Demetrius Jones, age 32, for severely abusing their two children.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, on November 25, 2024, Tempe Police were called to a local hospital where two children, ages four and twelve, were being treated for serious injuries. Those injuries included bruising, swelling, and signs of a nonfatal drowning.
Furch and Jones each face:
Furch remains in custody on a secured appearance bond of $100,000; Jones’ bond is set at $75,000, secured.
