
Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a domestic violence shooting that left elderly woman dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on April 16, 2025, around 2:03 p.m., officers responded to the area of 13th Avenue and Willetta Street regarding a shooting. Officers responding to the call received initial information that the 51-year-old suspect, Aaron Morse, had shot his mother. When officers arrived on scene, they were able to take Morse into custody without incident.
Officers entered the home and located the victim Susan Morse suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was extracted by officers to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Morse was transported to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries.
Morse was booked into jail on the charge of homicide.
