For the record, Dr. Charles Darwin, the eminent British naturalist, who in the 1860’s postulated the earth-shattering, scientific concept of a gradual evolution, never said the oft-repeated phrase used since, i.e. “survival of the fittest.”
That was another jingoistic P.R. creation of London’s Fleet Street tabloid newspapers, used to justify the imperial accumulation of foreign colonies, along with its dual moniker, “the Sun never sets on the British Empire”. But I digress.
Had the good doctor cast his gaze upon urban creations as organic-like entities, he might have had a serious vomiting episode upon his examination of modern-day Tucson. Events there since the Cold War’s end (1991), continue to validate a species-like evolutionary downward spiral; what present-day city analysts call an urban doom-loop.
Something routinely validated by more sequential events in the “Dirty T” …including the barnacle-like administrations of the Grijalva Gang’s feckless “leadership”, i.e. the recent appointment of witless Gang newbie, Andres Cano, to be the newest BOS Commissar for Pima County, and their election failure (>70%) to con the growing destitute citizenry into Arizona’s highest [plunder] sales taxes.
Let’s not forget the absolute menagerie of hundreds of aging hippie, Geezer-refugees in full Hard-Left, battle gear regalia, assembled weekly at the local Tesla dealership to protest ‘Evil Elon’. Egged-on by their local aircover newsrag, the Arizona Daily [Red] Star, with its running compendium of stem winding geriatric op-eds, prattling constantly the most inane liberal nonsense.
And the month’s most sickening, gut wrenching example of Tucson’s bitter decline has got to be the near-decapitation, senseless morning hatchet murder of a young Alabama father at a downtown bus stop, waiting as a tourist to see this desert paradise. No doubt Tucson’s Soros-backed, County Attorney Laura Conover will find some wacky legalistic excuse to exculpate the crazed attacker.
Frankly, by now I have given up on what purports to be Tucson’s craven ‘business community’ to correct, enforce, and basically intimidate, the utter scumbag political establishment of this 1.1 million metro into some semblance of correct behavior.
All this leading back to what Darwin really did say about evolutionary survival; it was the critical ability to change in a manner that helped a species solve its key existential problems. Tucson at this point is so far beyond this ability to change, the only thing now is to give odds on the actual timing of the coming cataclysm.
SO STOP FUNDING TUCSON, Arizona. They hate your guts, steal & squander your money, plan & plot your demise, have totally failed to contribute (more water, more tech, border trade, educated/capable workforce) to the state. Build a physical bypass around it, and let the urban anaerobic bacteria do their work, for the giant septic tank it is.
