The Phoenix Police Department has released the name of a person of interest in their investigation of a fatal Phoenix shooting that left two men dead last week.
Detectives in this investigation have identified 34-year-old Emmanuel “Manny” Rojas as a person of interest in this investigation. Investigators are looking to interview Rojas regarding his involvement in this incident. Anyone who sees or has information regarding Rojas’ whereabouts is cautioned not to approach Rojas, but to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 3:00 p.m. on Thursday June 26, 2025, officers were called to the area of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road for a shooting. As officers got to the scene, they located two male victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Phoenix fire responded and pronounced Mario Martinez deceased on scene. Luis Mendez-Armenta was taken to a local hospital where he later passed away as a result of his injuries.
