
Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a north Phoenix stabbing that left a 27-year-old man dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 21, 2025 at around 3:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of 27th Avenue and Northern Avenue regarding a stabbing.
Details on the call stated that the man left the area after the call to police was made. When officers arrived, they searched the surrounding area and were able to locate 27-year-old Martin McKinney, with at least one stab wound. The man was transported to a nearby hospital. His injuries were originally described as non- life-threatening, however his conditioned worsened and he ultimately died at the hospital.
Detectives are asking anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480( WITNESS) or 480 (TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
