Phoenix Police officers were called to a deadly shooting in a parking lot of a local hotel near 48th Avenue and McDowell Road early Saturday morning.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, around 5:39 a.m., officers responded to a shooting where a man was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim identified as 48-year-old Delvecchio Smith, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives are asking anyone with information leading to an arrest or identification of the responsible person to call into Silent Witness with an anonymous tip. 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
