Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a woman found dead in west Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 15, 2026, at around 1:47 a.m., officers responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Highland Avenue regarding an injured person. When officers arrived, they located an adult female lying on the frontage roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to call the police or SILENT WITNESS at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO).
