After several anonymous tips from the community, Lupe Teresa Perez, a 49-year-old woman, who was already in custody on an unrelated charge, was question about her involvement in the stabbing death of Jaquail Dillard.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, just after 10:00 p.m. on Monday night, officers responded to an unknown trouble call of an unresponsive man near 1200 North Central Avenue. When officers arrived in the area, they located the 29-year-old Dillard unresponsive and suffering from a stab wound.
Phoenix Fire personnel responded to provided Dillard with emergency lifesaving care but he was not able to overcome his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
