Man Dies In Multi-Vehicle Collision in Phoenix

A man is dead from injuries sustained during a multi-vehicle collision on Monday.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 2, 2026, around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the area 67th Avenue and McDowell Road regarding a collision involving resulting in injuries. When officers arrived, they located multiple occupants of the vehicles involved with serious injuries. One driver of a vehicle involved, identified as 35-year-old Orlando Cadena, was transported to a nearby hospital where he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Two adult female occupants of a second vehicle involved were also transported to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The adult male driver of a third vehicle involved was treated by fire on scene for minor injuries.

Detectives believe that the vehicle driven by Cadena was eastbound on McDowell Road, at a high rate of speed, when it collided with the second vehicle, which was making a left turn onto 67th Avenue from McDowell Road. After the collision, the second vehicle struck a third vehicle at the intersection.
