Two men have been arrested for a deadly shooting in Phoenix in November.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on November 29, 2020, officers responded to the area of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, later identified as 25-year-old Tate Bomar, with at least one gunshot wound.
Bomar was transported to a nearby hospital, where he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation revealed that several suspects planned and carried out the armed robbery and kidnapping of Bomar after arranging to meet him near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road. After kidnapping him, the suspects attempted to take him to another location. During that drive, Bomar tried to escape by getting out of the vehicle in which he was being held. As he ran from the vehicle, he was shot at least once, resulting in his death.
As homicide detectives continued their work on this case, the investigation led them to three potential suspects: 27-year-old Parketta Allen, 22-year-old Jamya Boozer, and 21-year-old Jordan Edmonds. Detectives pursued multiple leads to identify those responsible for Bomar’s death and to establish probable cause for one or more of the suspects.
Early this year, detectives developed probable cause for all three individuals, and arrest warrants were issued for each of them.
On February 17, 2026, personnel from the Arizona Department of Public Safety located and arrested Parketta Allen. On March 9, 2026, detectives from the Phoenix Police Department’s Tactical Support Bureau located and arrested Jamya Boozer. The third suspect, Jordan Edmonds, is currently in custody on unrelated charges.
Each suspect faces multiple charges connected to the murder of Bomar, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and first-degree murder. This remains an open investigation.
