A sexual predator, Dexter Greyer, has been sentenced to 60 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections after being convicted of four counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of Kidnapping.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, in January 2024, the victim was waiting for her bus to go to work when Greyer approached her in a car, offering a ride because the bus was running late. Trusting his offer of help, she accepted. Instead of taking her to her destination, Greyer drove her to a nearby alley in Chandler, where he sexually assaulted her, strangled her, and prevented her from escaping. After Greyer fled the area, the victim bravely and immediately sought help, which led to a rapid police response and an investigation by the Chandler Police Department.
Physical evidence, including DNA collected from the victim’s clothing, identified Greyer as the suspect. Detectives later found and arrested him at an apartment complex in Phoenix.
