Globe Man Sentenced for Trafficking Fentanyl

A Globe man, James Morris Wilckens, has been sentenced for Conspiring to Distribute Fentanyl.

The 55-year-old Wilckens was sentenced to 48 months in prison to be followed by 36 months of supervised release.

According to the Department of Justice, during a Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) investigation, Wilckens was identified as a member of a cross-border smuggling ring engaged in the distribution of fentanyl in Globe and the surrounding communities. In June 2024, he was arrested near Claypool after being found in possession of 230 fentanyl pills that were packaged for sale.

This investigation is part of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) initiative established by Executive Order 14159, Protecting the American People Against Invasion.
