A power thieving duo, Daniel Crouse and Stephanie Bandin, have been indicted for a series of thefts at home improvement stores across Maricopa County.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, between March and May of this year, Daniel Crouse stole power tools from eight Lowe’s stores, 17 Home Depot stores, and a Shopper Supply store. Crouse was also identified on surveillance video stealing a luxury purse from a Dillard’s department store in Chandler. The thefts resulted in more than $30,000 in losses to the local businesses.
When Chandler Police located the defendant and attempted to arrest him, the defendant’s girlfriend, Stephanie Bandin, used her vehicle to block police from reaching Crouse. Both were arrested. After further investigation, Bandin was also identified in surveillance video stealing power tools from a local Home Depot.
Crouse was indicted on one count of Theft, a Class Two Felony, and 27 counts of Organized Retail Theft, a Class Four Felony. Bandin was indicted on one count of Organized Retail Theft, a Class Four Felony, and one count of Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree, a Class Five Felony.
