Investigations Into Child Sex Crimes Leads to Arrest of 2 Yavapai County Men

PRESCOTT – Two Yavapai County men have been arrested in connection with child sex crime cases.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), detectives received a tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force regarding child sexual abuse material from a home in Prescott. YCSO detectives and patrol deputies investigated and discovered Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on electronic devices owned by the 74-year-old male resident. The suspect, 74-year-old Fred Parvin, was arrested and initially booked on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives found videos depicting him engaging in sexual acts with a victim under the age of 10. Further evidence corroborated that these acts had been committed. Last week, deputies returned to the home. They arrested Parvin, who was out on bond, on charges involving sexual exploitation of a minor and molestation of a child.

Also, last week, after a thorough investigation, YCSO Detectives arrested 45-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez of Chino Valley after they discovered several videos showing child sex abuse on electronic devices owned by Ricardo.

Gonzalez was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
