On Monday, Phoenix police arrested a 21-year-old woman, Teralyn Campopiano, and an unidentified 16-year-old for the murder of 58-year-old Donald Mucheck.
According to Sergeant John Buchanan of the Phoenix Police Department, on July 6th, 2026 at around 12:40 a.m., officers responded to a shooting which had been reported at the “Collins Off Colter” apartment complex, near 16th Street and Camelback Road. Upon arrival, officers located Mucheck who had sustained a single gunshot wound to his torso. The Phoenix Fire Department transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
According to AZFamily, “Investigators found that Mucheck’s phone contained text messages to Campopiano, who was using the name Nicole and with whom he arranged to pay for sexual services, court documents state. He texted her after an earlier visit, saying she stole his money, police said. Despite this, they arranged to meet again for paid sex.”
