Phoenix Woman Killed in One Car Collision Following Medical Incident

A 51-year-old woman is dead after a vehicle she was a passenger in slammed into a brick wall.

According to Sergeant John Buchanan of the Phoenix Police Department, on August 8th, 2026, at approximately 4:30 AM, Phoenix Police responded to multiple reports of a vehicle collision in the area of 7th Avenue and Portland Street. Upon arrival, officers located a single vehicle which had rolled over and collided with a brick wall. Phoenix Fire personnel transported both occupants from this vehicle to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Following arrival at the hospital, the front-seat passenger, identified as Kelly Greene,
was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Detectives believe that the driver of the vehicle suffered a medical event, which likely contributed to this collision. Impairment was not believed to be a factor.
